Front Wheel Drive Bombers

1. BODIES; Domestic or foreign mid-size or smaller cars. No Hondas, Accuras, or Saturns. No large cadillacs, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, etc. Doors cannot be cut out, except for left side door bars only. No body cutting of any kind. Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance only. Front and rear wheel wells may be removed. Stock dash. No radios or mirrors. Roof, doors, and center post, cannot be altered in any way Rear wings , (spoilers), are allowed but may not exceed 6 inches in height, and may not extend past top edge of body. No skirting of any kind. No side trim. No open hoods. No added weight.
2. SEATS AND BELTS;. Mandatory!!!! Aluminum racing seat, new 5 point seat belts, and window nets.
3. ROLL CAGE; Must be made of a front and rear loop with an x in back loop. Must be mounted to frame by angle or tubing from front to rear hump and must have 3 left side door bars and 1 right side door bars. Must have 1 horizontal bar from side to side of front legs. Must have at least a 14 gauge plate covering drivers side door bars. Top four corners of cage must have gussets on all angles.
4. WINDSHIELD; Screen covering windshield area is highly recommended or 5 bars from center to left side of cage post.
5. ENGINE; 4 cylinder or v-6! No sho-svo, v-tec or any high performance parts. No turbos, no aftermarket chips, or altering the stock ones. Track can claim any computer box at any time for $75.00. Take note- ANYONE WITH OVERPOWERING HORSEPOWER WILL BE DQ’D. THIS IS A BEGINNER CLASS FOR FUN!!!
6. FUEL; fuel injection or carburetion-STOCK.
7. BATTERY; Should be mounted in trunk area. Must be securely mounted.
8. FUEL TANK; Stock can be used if left in stock location. FUEL CELL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if at all possible. Engine horsepower will be handicapped by weight at the scales. (If you are too fast we may require you to add weight to car.)
9. BUMPERS; Stock bumpers or tube. Tube bumpers must be built of maximum 1.5 inch O.D, .120 thickness. Tube cannot be longer than the center of tire to center of tire. Ends must be capped with no sharp edges. Bumper may have loops no taller than 16 inches and cannot extend past the frame horns Bumper can be attached to frame with no larger than ½ inch flat plate extending no further than 12 inches behind core support.
10. TRANSMISSION; Stock OEM standard or automatics. No performance clutches or flywheels.
11. MODIFICATIONS; None allowed.
12. EXHAUST; Stock exhaust must run past driver. No muffler required.
13. SAFETY EQUIPMENT; Complete fire suit with gloves and SA approved full face helment.
14. TIRES: DOT tires only. OEM steel or aluminum wheels only. Maximum width 55 series tires, (must fit 8.5 inch hoop). No mud tires but grooving is allowed. Right front must have a minimum of 40 pounds of air pressure.
15. IF IT DOES NOT SAY YOU CAN YOU CANNOT. CALL GEORGE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.
