The following Definitions Apply to all of the following RULES,
REGULATIONS and Original Equipment Manufacturer or O.E.M.: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is defined as engines and other components originally produced by an American Manufacturer for passenger car or light truck use, as produced on an assembly line and unaltered or modified. Special racing equipment. marine or off-road vehicle components are not considered OEM. All components are subject to approval by inspecting track officials. Furthermore, OEM is interpreted to mean OEM for stock production engines and manufacturer’s forging and casting marks cannot be removed or altered. STOCK Stock is defined as any component originally produced and available for particular manufacturer’s year, make, and model of car or light truck. Preliminary Inspection of Vehicles: Prior to racing all vehicles will be inspected by an OSP Inspector. The purpose of this preliminary inspection is to insure general compliance with these rules and specifications. It is not a guarantee or a decision by OSP that the inspected vehicle is in compliance with all rules and regulations and specifications herein. The OSP does not have time to conduct a thorough inspection of every component on each car. It is the car owner’s and car driver’s duty to be in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and specifications. If you have any questions concerning a specific rule, regulation, or specification, ask the appropriate track official, inspector or track director. Approval of a vehicle by an OSP inspector is not a guarantee that the inspected vehicle is mechanically sound. The OSP inspector shall not be liable, nor shall OSP, for any mechanical failure nor for the losses or injuries resulting from the same. It is the driver’s and or car owner’s responsibility to know these rules, regulations, and specifications and to know that their car is in compliance therewith, these rules, regulations, and specifications were prepared in a positive manner. If it doesn’t say you can do it, YOU CAN NOT DO IT!!!! ROUGH DRIVING A strict definition of ROUGH DRIVING is not a simple thing. However, there are a couple of specific things that will rate you a black flag at Oklahoma Sports Park. We won’t put up with a driver using a front bumper for brakes. That is when you go in the corner, and maybe you can get in a little deeper than the guy in front of you. He backs off, you don’t, and you give him a little nudge: If you turn him around you will be Black Flagged!!!!! You also don’t turn right on a guy when you are inside of him, and you don’t pinch him off when you are on the outside of him. YOU HAVE TO GIVE A GUY A LANE TO RACE IN!!!!! SECTION 1 (A) 1.The racing events at the Oklahoma Sports Park, ADA, Oklahoma, are open to all persons complying with these rules, regulations, and specifications and their admission into the racing area signifies their acceptance of and compliance with all provisions. Qualifying for end of season prizes requires in participating in 70% of races. 2. All driver, car owners and pit persons must be at least sixteen (16) years of age and physically fit, must be 14 years of age for pit crew. 3.All persons entering the pit area must pay a fee, read and acknowledge by signature, a form releasing OSP from any claim for personal injury or damages, or loss of any personal equipment. All items including tow cars, tools, etc., are brought into competition area at the owners own risk, and ARE NOT COVERED BY TRACK INSURANCE POLICIES, REPEAT, DAMAGES TO TOW CARS SPECIFICALLY NOT COVERED. 4. A pit pass will be issued to all persons entering the pits and shall be worn in plain sight while in the pit area. Car owners and drivers are responsible to insure that all members of their crew have purchased pit passes. Violation of this policy will result in loss of racing privileges for the full season. 5. Any person sustaining injury in the competition area must
report the injury to the track official 6.Alcoholic beverages shall not be allowed in the pit area, or shall any person be admitted into the pit area who appears to be intoxicated. DRIVERS, MECHANICS, AND/OR OWNERS VIOLATING THE ALCOHOL RULE WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR ONE CALENDAR YEAR WITH NO APPEAL. DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING MAY BE DONE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TRACK DIRECTOR. All persons will conduct themselves in a professional manner while on the racing premises. Arguments, poor sportsmanship and cursing in front of fans, officials, or participants could result in a fine or suspension to be assessed by the track director or his representative. Automatic two (2) racing events suspension. Twice suspended is automatic expulsion. The track director on his own or by information furnished in a report from a track official, may levy a penalty upon a person for UN-sportsman like conduct, or any action not in the best interest of the race program. Fighting will result in arrest. DO NOT ARGUE WITH TRACK OFFICIALS. If you have any questions, see the track director. PROTESTS NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY BE PROTESTED BY ANOTHER RACER TWICE AND IN TURN YOU CAN ONLY PROTEST TWICE IN A RACE SEASON. All protests must be submitted in writing to the track office within fifteen (15) minutes after completion of the race protested. All protest fees must be paid in cash, no checks will be accepted, and must accompany written protest from driver or owner of a car that participated in the same race with the car protested. Receipts will be issued to the protester by the track office. Protest fee to be given to the track director or the appointed representative. Laboratory fees, and any of the track charges will be deducted from the protest fee. Car must finish on lead lap. If a car is protested and found legal, i.e., in compliance
with the applicable rules, regulations, or Protest fees in all divisions, unless otherwise provided herein are: $200.00 + $25.00 pull one (1) head only. Check basic engine. $25.00 non refundable. $350.00 + $25.00 Full Protest. $25.00 non refundable. $75.00 + 25.00 Fuel Test. $25.00 non refundable. OFFICIAL PROTEST Any car may be inspected at any time by track official inspections, if no violations of these rules are found, OSP will pay $50.00 tcar down fee for major inspections. ALL TEAMS REQUIRED TO TEAR DOWN THEIR ENGINE WILL HAVE 45 MINUTES TO REMOVE THE CYLINDER HEADS. TEAMS WILL HAVE 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES IF THEY ARE REQUIRED TO REMOVE A ROD AND PISTON. ALL TEAMS SHOULD HAVE THE TOOLS NEEDED TO DO THEIR TEARDOWN. IF YOU CAN NOT TEARDOWN IN THE ALLOTTED TIME YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. MAJOR INSPECTIONS; PENALTY WILL BE FORFEITURE OF ALL MONEY
AND POINTS WON DURING THE RACING PROGRAM PLUS SUSPENSION FOR NEXT CONSECUTIVE
RACING PROGRAM AND LOSS OF ALL POINTS ACCUMULATED TO DATE. ILLEGAL WEIGHT: Forfeit points and money earned for that race. SECOND OFFENSE: Any car or driver committing a second major
infraction in the same race If the race is canceled for any reason prior to competition of the preliminary events (heat races), all admission receipts are refunded. Consequently, no purse will be paid. If the program is canceled after the preliminary races are completed, all money earned will be paid for the events completed. The balance of the purse and events will be added to a later program or programs decided upon the track director. It is specifically understood and agreed that all drivers,
car owners, and pit persons are free and No competitor shall have any claim against OSP, track director or any other official or representatives or assigns by reasons of disqualification of cars, drivers or rule changes. The following flag system will be used: GREEN FLAG: Beginning of race, track is clear. YELLOW FLAG: Reduce speed, maintain position, do not race under YELLOW FLAG. YELLOW/GREEN FLAG: Enduro Style: will be stopped only in extreme emergency. BLACK FLAG: Consultation flag – pull off track immediately. RED FLAG: Emergency on track, all cars stop immediately, regardless
of position on track, then BLUE FLAG with DIAGONAL STRIPE: Passing or move over flag . Cars receiving this flag shall yield the grove so that lapping cars may pass. WHITE FLAG: One lap remaining in the race. CHECKERED FLAG: Race is completed. NOTE: The track is equipped with signal lights which shall be obeyed in the same manner as the flags. Special emphasis is on the red light. STOP immediately. DO NOT RACE to flagman. Any point not covered herein shall be decided upon by the track
director or his designated Once the lineups are posted, a driver may not change cars or
switch to another car or switch to RACE PROCEDURES All racing equipment shall be placed as directed by track officials. All cars must be on the track under power within 10 minutes of designated starting time for wheel packing. Failure to comply will result in no racing for that night. In case of a legitimate mechanical failure, said failure must be reported to track director or chief steward before the 10 minutes time period is over. (NO PACK NO RACE) At the discretion of the track director, the number of designated laps may change with the condition of the track. Cars completing the packing laps will be given full credit. Track director deems track ready to race. Drivers will adhere to a 5 mile per hour speed limit in the pit areas. Violators will be suspended. No motorcycles in pits. Note: This applies to both tow vehicles and race cars. A driver and/or race car may be entered in only one division per racing program. Drivers must have race car signed in 45 minutes before race
time to claim regular positions. Cars The lineups for the heat races will be posted on the black board in the pit area (20) minutes prior to the race time. It is the responsibility of all drivers to check the lineup and move their cars into the staging area. Cars not in their proper place when track officials line cars on the track will fall in the back of the lineup. Any cars not on the track when barrier is closed will not be allowed to enter that particular race. All starts will be running starts, two cars abreast-nose to tail with the pole car setting the pace. All drivers shall maintain their proper starting positions until the Green Flag at the white line is given signifying an official start. Any driver failing to maintain position can be Black Flagged, or penalized. Penalty will be one position for position for each car jumped with pole cars gong to the rear. Drivers can be disqualified or penalized for using the infield to gain a position at any time during the race. The decision will be at the discretion of the flagman and chief steward. This decision will be final!! If RED FLAG is thrown, unless for realignment, cars may be worked on in a designated work area. When the track is cleared, all cars will immediately be called to start/finish line for realignment. Any car unable to return to start/finish line and not in proper position when roll signal is given, will fall in at the rear. After one (1) complete lap under the GREEN FLAG, all restarts will be single file. All cars will be aligned in the same order as each car crossed the start/finish line in the first completed lap under the GREEN FLAG except those cars for which the RED and/or YELLOW FLAG was necessitated. Such cars will be placed at the car. This decision will be at the discretion of the track officials. On complete restarts, all cars must clear the marked position on the first start. Anyone intentionally causing the Yellow Flag will be Black Flagged. Any car causing two (2) Yellow Flags in one race will be Black Flagged from the race. The number and type of events shall be determined by the number of entries in each division. (All races will be run as track officials feel is in the best interest of the race program). A race may be declared official when the scheduled number of
laps are completed or if stopped Should a car become disabled during a race and repairs not
possible, the driver may not change to another car. The car and driver
are scratched for the remainder of the program. Unauthorized driver changes will result in disqualification of the car and driver, and forfeiture of all money and points earned during the race night and two race programs suspensions for both car and driver. A race is complete when the lead car has completed the required
number of laps and scoring will The official finish will be posted at the pay window. All questions or protests shall be filed before payment of purse has begun. All on-field judgments will be final. No reviewing of video tapes will be allowed. RECORDS WILL BE KEPT OF MISCELLANEOUS DRIVING INFRACTIONS.
SECOND Any rules and regulations will be at the discretion of OKLAHOMA SPORTS PARK. GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS The safety requirements for all car classes are repeated here
to emphasize their importance. B. Full face auto racing helmets meeting/exceeding the snell
90 specifications required, and C. Bucket seats are mandatory and must be factory manufactured.
Positively no homemade D. Fire retardant uniform, fire resistant shoes, nomex or leather
gloves and driver side window E. A 3” safety belt and shoulder harness with 2 belts over
shoulders, and a quick release type are F. Shock resistant roll cage padding on all bars that drivers
head, legs, and arms may come in G. Two throttle return springs and a steel toe strap on throttle are recommended. H. An onboard fire extinguisher is mandatory. I. With driver strapped in car minimum 2” head clearance required
from top of roll cage to top of NUMBERS A. Numbers issued by the Oklahoma Sports Park Office only.
Drivers have priority on numbers B. Paint numbers (in contrasting color to background) on both
doors, 24” high, 4” wide strokes, C. Numbers assigned and not run for three consecutive race
programs may be declared open and FACTORY STOCK GENERAL A.The factory stock division is intended to be an economical, semi-late model passenger car for entry level racers. B. Must be rear-wheel drive, front-engine, American made passenger
cars. No convertibles, C. All cars must be stock. Frame must he stock. No interchanging
components. Original frame D. Unless these Specs say you can do something, You CAN NOT! BODY A.Aftermarks bodies may be used, but you must keep stock floor pan. They should look as much like Factory as possible. 1. All wheel wells may be trimmed for tire clearance ONLY! B. All glass and flammable material must be removed. Cover
headlight and taillight holes with C. Doors must be welded 12” front and rear or bolted using
backing plates and a minimum of D. Must have stock front firewall and sheet metal rear firewall
between trunk and drivers E. Stock dash may be replaced with sheet metal in stock location, no sharp edges. F. Windshield screen required and must be full width extending
from windshield post to G. Bumpers must be mounted in stock location. Front bumper can be on 2” O.D. pipe or stock. May not exceed 48” in width and 8” from end of bumper must angle 10 degrees. Rear bumper may not exceed width of car and must be bent over or capped. Wrecker loops are mandatory front and rear. Nerf bars are optional. If used, may be no larger than l' x 2” square tubing cut and capped at 45 degrees. No sharp ends or edges. H. Factory radiator core supports optional. When a fabricated
support is used, maximum tubing CHASSIS/SUSPENSION A. Suspension parts must remain absolutely stock for make and model of car. No lumber, chains, etc. may be used to alter stock suspension. Stock-type springs only in stock location may be heated, cut or changed. Shocks and swaybar(s) must be in stock location. Chrysler power may be used in any chassis meeting rules. B. No coil-overs, load leveler or air type shocks. C. Drive shaft must be painted white. Loop mandatory 6” behind front yoke. D. Four wheel brakes mandatory, in working condition. Brake
balance allowed, but it may not be E. 9’ Ford allowed. Locking of rear end allowed. Mini spool
may be used. Bolt-in-type rear F. Transmission must be O.E.M. production-type automatic or
standard 3-speed or 4-speed with ENGINE A. Must be stock and O.E.M. V-8 cast iron block No modifications or alterations of any type. No Chevrolet vortex engines or engine components of any type. All engines and components must be stock and O.E.M. except for the rods, any steel rod. World Parts Sr torquer part # 4266 or RHS, Pro Torrer, Part # 12403 heads may be used. No modifications or alterations of any type except pinning the studs or screw-in replacements. Poly lock rocker arm adjusting nuts allowed. Heads must remain in stock location. No moving or offsetting of dowels in blocks or heads. No porting, polishing or grinding anytime, anywhere on the header or intake or exhaust manifold. Flat top or dished pistons only. Aftermarket pulleys are allowed. No angle milling of heads. 6” rods ok. B. Engine location halfway between first and second spark plug
even with center of front ball C. Stock single point or stock high energy ignition systems only. D. Carburetor: Any carburetor can be run except Predator. Can
run spacer or adaptor 1 inch E. Cam: Any stock type flat tappet cam, No roller cams. Roller rockers allowed. F. Intake and exhaust manifolds must be cast iron. Headers
may be used, No 180 degrees G. Only one radiator allowed, in stock location and its stock
mounts. No bracing to front hoop H. No Hi-rise Manifolds, cast iron or otherwise. I. Battery may be relocated but must be securely mounted and
covered with sheet rubber. Must J. Stock, deep, wet sump oil pan allowed. Relocated pickup
tube allowed. Aftermarket oil pan TIRES/WHEELS A. Steel wheels only. Wagon wheels or rally wheels not to exceed 10’ width. B. One-inch lug nuts required. C. Asphalt pull offs only. May not exceed 14 1/4” wide. Will
be checked with hoop. Must D. No Radials or re-caps allowed. E. No hubcaps or wheel covers. Foam wheel inserts may be used. F. No wheel weights (i.e. balancing weights.) FUEL TANK FUEL SYSTEM A. Fuel cell mandatory, must he securely and safely mounted. B. Fuel delivery system must be stock mechanical type fuel
pumps- no electric or pressure C. Gasoline only, no additives. D. Fuel line cannot pass through drivers compartment, no vinyl
or plastic line. Steel braid ROLL CAGES A. Four-post roll cage with diagonal brace behind driver is
mandatory. Braces must remain B. Must have four-bar door protectors on both sides. C. Horizontal bar between front vertical bars and under dash required. D. Engine hoop to incorporate leg brace tub to protect driver. E. Cage must be welded to frame in at least six places. F. Roof hoop width 33” minimum, from front to main hoop 32” minimum. G. Front fenders, quarter panels and front nose piece. One inch bar for bracing only. H. Maximum angle of rear roll bar is 20 degrees. At least one
bar from rear loop to front halo WEIGHT Minimum weight, including driver, is 3200 pounds. Cars may be weighed at any time. Fluids or parts lost during a race may not be added to make weight. All weights must be double nutted or welded. At least two (2) 3/8” bolts, double nutted are mandatory. MUFFLERS All cars must have mufflers (in working order), type optional,
but noise level CANNOT exceed STREET STOCK RULES CHASSIS A. Any 1968 or newer, stock passenger street type car. No commercial
vehicles, convertibles, WEIGHT FRAME a. American made OEM front frame clips mandatory SUSPENSION LEAF SPRINGS OR 3 LINK SUSPENSIONS AS DESCRIBED BELOW ARE THE
ONLY a. Any coil springs with a minimum diameter of 4” can be used.
Steel only. One spring per wheel. BODY Gutting allowed. All body chrome, glass, plastic, and interior
must be removed. All doors and Stock steering box must be in original stock location, steering wheel may be removed by u-joint. Or aftermarket steering reduction box, NO center steering. Steering wheel and driver must be on left side of drive shaft hump. No rack and pinion steering allowed. ENGINE Any automotive engine originally produced by an American manufacturer
for passenger car use OKC ALUMINUM SPECHEAD RULE a. All spec heads will be applied with CNC bowl blend and make
matching SAFETY: ALL CARS SUBJECT TO INSPECTION AT ANY TIME. A. Mandatory: 3” wide safety belt and shoulder harness with
two belts over shoulder and of the B. Mandatory: Shock resistant roll bar padding. C. Mandatory: Two throttle return springs, steel toe loop on throttle pedal is required. D. Mandatory: All cars must have a fire extinguisher securely
mounted within the reach of the E. Mandatory: All drivers must wear driving suits made of a
fire resistant material, and the suit F. Mandatory: Seats that have been approved for marketing as
racing seats may be used if G. Mandatory: Racing helmets meeting specifications set forth
in TITLE 49, CODE OF BRAKES All cars must have minimum of four wheel brakes in working order. Brake balancing allowed. (Note rear calipers and rotors need not match). WHEELS Steel wheels only. Maximum 10” wide. One valve stem per wheel.
No bleed off valves TIRES NASCAR pull-offs only!! Must durometer 60 or better. MUFFLERS A. Stock cast iron exhaust manifolds with no modifications
are acceptable. With stock cast iron B. Headers may be used. With headers, 16” Lobak mufflers or
comparable brand are required. ROLL CAGES Steel roll cage mandatory. Front and rear bars must be connected
at top (cage type). At least REAR-END Any passenger car or pickup production rear end may be locked
by: welding spider gears, mini TRANSMISSION OEM Standard or Automatic BUMPERS A. Bumpers need to look as close to stock as possible. No railroad
type of bumpers. Uprights to protect the radiator may be constructed
inside grill shell. FUEL TANK A fuel cell is mandatory. Fuel cell must be fully enclosed
in a metal box of .20 gauge thickness FUEL Race fuel or Methanol. No Additives RADIATOR Only one radiator and it must he centered in front of engine
in vertical position. No auxiliary BATTERY Must be securely mounted and covered with sheet rubber. Battery
must be in good working PROTESTS See general rules. MISCELLANEOUS A. Rearview mirrors are not allowed. No radio transceiver communications
systems allowed,
CARS: Minimum 108” wheelbase. SAFETY 4 point roll cage with door bars on both sides. This is absolute minimum. Bars can go through front or rear fire walls. Driver must have helmet (see helmet requirements), safety belt, and shoulder harness. Remove all glass. Doors must be securely fastened. Door brace OK. Must be inside of car. Harness must be racing type 5 point securely mounted. Will have to pass inspection. Removal of dash and components inside of drivers compartment optional (example, emergency brake pedal.) No modification to body, no cutting suspension, or engine. Working horn and car radio optional. Stock bumpers only. No battering RAMS. No excess metal behind bumpers. Four door bars on drivers side mandatory. Recommend bars be plated with steel plate. Only one radiator in stock location. Fuel cell highly recommended.
Must remain stock. SUSPENSION Stock! No moving, changing or modifications. Springs must be factory. Shocks must be factory. NO RACE PARTS!! WHEELS AND TIRES 10” wide wheels. NASCAR pull-offs only. Recommended 3/8ths
studs REARENDS Stock. Locking allowed. 9 inch Ford allowed for safety. Must be in stock location. Cars must have numbers on both sides and top of car. Also,
must be at least 14” height. Must be No high performance parts, either stock or aftermarket. This means no double hump or any other type high performance heads, or alteration to heads of any kind!!! Head must be considered open chambers. Track may check any part of car at any time. The minimum weight with driver is 3800 pounds. ENGINE 362 C.I., 368 C.I. Maximum, Mopar stock intake, stock exhaust
manifolds. Cam can have no more than .390-.410 lift, Chevrolet, Ford,
and Mopar may have up to .420 lift max. Must be hydraulic and will be
measured at valve tip. 600 CFM Holley is okay, part number. MODIFIED RULES RULES/INSPECTIONS 1.All cars subject to a safety and technical inspection at any time at the track. Approval of a vehicle by a track inspector means only that the vehicle is approved for participation in a racing event and shall not be constructed in any way to mean the inspected vehicle is in a mechanically safe and sound condition. Officials can disqualify any car or driver for any perceived unsafe equipment or action. 2. Uniform interpretation of these rules at all tracks will be insured by designated officials. 3. The rules set forth herein are only designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from the publication of, or compliance with, these rules and/or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to participate. SAFETY 1. Main roll cage (halo and four down-tubes) must consist of
continuous hoops not less than 1 ½" O.D. and an inner wall
thickness of no less than .095". Must be welded to frame. No brazing,
no soldering. No part of the main cage can extend farther forward than
the engine plate. B. Must consist of a configuration of front and rear hoops connected by tubing on the side hoops. The top hoop must have a crossbar and the drivers head (with helmet on) must not protrude above the cage. Padding required on tubing around driver. C. Protection of drivers feet is mandatory. Bar across back of the engine with vertical bars and rub rails or similar protection is required.. D. Brace bars forward of the cage cannot be higher than a stock hood height. E. Driver door bars must be at least three 1 1/2'" O.D. bars which are welded directly to the front and rear members of the main roll cage. Bars must be parallel to the ground and perpendicular to the driver to provide maximum protection but without causing undue difficulty in getting into or out of the race car. Door plates recommended and may be required later. 2. Helmet must be current SNELL rating, and is required at
all times the car is on the track. SFI 3. Competition five-point safety belts, and shoulder harness required. Metal-to-metal buckles required on shoulder and seat belts. Shoulder harness must be securely mounted to the roll cage at a height even with or above the driver’s shoulders. Belts and harnesses must be no more than one year old. 4. Either arm restraints or a driver-side window net is required. The window net will be mounted to place the latch at the top front of the driver side window. 5. Both side windows of the car must have at least a 12 inch vertical opening to allow easy entry and exit from the car. 6. All cars must have fuel cells (maximum 32 gallons) enclosed in a metal container. Fuel cells must be mounted between frame rails, secured with at least two 2" wide steel straps, be mounted securely behind rear axle (protected by roll cage tubing) and be at least 4" forward of the trailing edge of the rear bumper. Fuel cells must have check valves and fuel pick-up from the front, side or top of the cell. Bladders are recommended. 7. Protective tubing (fuel cell loop) must cover the rear of the fuel cell with no part of the fuel cell extending below or to the sides of the loop. Loop cannot be wider than leaf spring shackles. No part of the loop can extend past the trailing edges of the rear bumper. 8. Batteries must be securely mounted and shielded. Batteries mounted inside the race car must be in marine-type cases. 9. Exhaust systems must be mounted in such a way as to direct exhaust away from driver and areas of possible fuel spillage. The driver’s compartment must be sealed from the track and exhaust gasses. 10. Loose objects must not be used in driver’s compartment or outside the car body nor the hood area. Any weights added to other areas of the car must be inside the car body-not attached to the bumper or fuel cell loop. Such weights must list the car number, be painted white or silver and each must be mounted with at least two ½" bolts. 11. Drive shafts must be painted white or silver and have a loop mounted no more than six inches from the front of the drive shaft. The loop must be constructed of ¼" thick by 2" wide steel stock, or equivalent, and must totally encircle the drive shaft (360 degrees). 12. All transmissions with clutch mounted to flywheel require a steel explosion-proof bell housing. All other transmissions (manual or automatic) must have SFI approved flywheel shield. (Shield can be constructed of ¼" x 3" steel, 270 degrees around flex plate flywheel.) 13. Brakes must be operable and must lock-up three wheels during an inspection. Shut-off valve is allowed on right front brake. Front-to-rear proportioning valves and/or brake bias systems are allowed. 14. Ignition ("KILL) switch must be within easy reach of the driver and must be clearly marked "ON” or “OFF". 15. Each car must have a 5-pound (minimum) fire extinguisher in the immediate pit area.
Must be capable of starting to join the line-up, without being pushed or pulled, or goes to rear of the line-up. PROTESTS – MODIFIED AND LIMITED MODIFIED SEE GENERAL RULES FRAME 1. Factory production full 1950, or newer, parallel American
passenger car frame only. No Jeep, 2. Frames cannot be widened nor narrowed and must be able to support the main cage on both sides. Must be full and complete on both sides. Minimum clearance from the frame and body to the ground is 4" (except front cross-member). 3. The cross-member can be notched for radiator and/or steering clearance only. Excessive notching is prohibited. The rear of the frame can be altered to accept coil or leaf springs. Frame can be cut in the rear only at a point no more than 35" forward from the center or rear end housing. NO other alterations allowed. BODY 1.No station wagon or panel van body styles. Body must resemble an American compact passenger car. Must have open front and rear window area, original roof line, stock-appearing windshield and rear window support bars, firewall and floorboard. 2.Front bumper must be at least 8" high (top to bottom) and be mounted frame-end-to-frame-end or directly to the side of the frame horns. The top bumper bar must be directly above (within 1") the bottom bar and bottom bar must be parallel to the ground with the center of the bumper between 16" and 20" from the ground. Must be at least 1 ¼" tubing stock strong enough to support the car when lifted by a wrecker. The leading edge of the bumper can be no more than 42" forward of the front wheel spindle. 3. The front panel (nose piece) of the car can be no lower nor wider than the frame horns, be no farther back than the radiator and cannot have any lips or flares on the top surface. 4. The engine compartment must remain open. No side panels. 5. The hood sides can drop no more than 4", have no more than 3" rake (front-to-rear) and must be sealed-off in the rear. The maximum hood scoop or air cleaner height, from the top surface of the hood is 6". 6. The roof must be one piece of fiberglass between 41"
to 56" long and 44" to 50" wide. The height of 7. Must have at least three windshield bars in front of the driver. Can use a half-windshield (lexan or metal) which is mounted to the roll cage and/or windshield bars. No flare or lips on the halfwindshield. The top of the half-windshield can be no more than 2" above the top edge of the steering wheel. 8. The passenger side of the body can extend no farther than 72" from the center of the rear axle. The driver’s side can be extended forward to cover the driver’s foot box. No panels are allowed in front of the passenger side. No inner panels allowed. The body sides must be vertical and must measure 22" to 27" from top-to-bottom on either side. A slight flare can be on the bottom edge of the sides provided it is no more than 4" in length at an angle of no more than 45 degrees from vertical. 9. The interior (top panel) must be flat and flush with the
top of the sides and quarter panels. The 10. Both rear tires must be outside the body, rear bumper and nerf bars when viewed from the front, rear and top. The combined distance of these tires outside the body, left and right, must be at least 6" (measured from the outside edge of tires to body). Nerf bars cannot contain any edges sharp enough to cut a tire. 11. The length of the quarter panels (and rear bumper), from the center of axle to the trailing edge of the rear bumper, must be between 34" and 45". 12. The rear side window area (sail panel) must closely resemble one of the examples in the drawings. The sail panel can be solid, open or clear (lexan). The trailing edge cannot have any lips or flares and must form a continuous straight line from the rear outside corner of the roof down to the top of the quarter panel. The lower end of the panel can have a vertical drop of no more than 2" to the quarter panel. No plastic body parts (except Lexan window). 13. The rear panel must be solid, extend from quarter panel
to quarter panel and must be securely 14. The single bar rear bumper must be constructed of steel square or round tubing stock, protect the fuel cell and the center of the bumper must be 16" to 20" from the ground. No double or triple bar bumpers. Cannot have any sharp edges which could cut a tire. 15. The car number must be painted on the nose piece, rear panel, roof and both/quarter panels. The roof and side number must be at least 20" high and 4" thick. 16. Spoiler may not exceed 5" in height. SUSPENSION/STEERING 1.Front suspension and sway bar must be O.E.M., in stock location
and must be replaceable by stock parts from same type suspension. Steel
Heims and sleeves (minimum 5/8") can replace tie-rod assembly.
Stock passenger car spindles only. Tube-type upper A-frames are allowed
and can be moved but the bottom A-frames cannot be altered or moved
O.E.M. center link can be reinforced 3. One steel (body and internals) shock per wheel is allowed and additional chocks can be used in other locations. Any or all shocks on the car can be claimed for $50.00 each. Shock claim procedure is the same as the engine claim procedure and a shock claim will be counted as an engine claim. No air shocks or air bags permitted. 4. No aluminum hubs or calipers. Calipers must be O.E.M. and cannot be lightened. Rotors cannot be drilled (except for a different bolt pattern or for larger studs) nor lightened. 5. No coil-over shocks allowed on the front or rear. Any coil
springs must be made of steel and have an outside diameter of at least
4 ½". 7. No rack and pinion steering. Quickeners allowed. The steering box must be O.E.M. with at least one bolt within the original bolt pattern. No center steering (left side only) but may be modified in the cockpit to suit the driver. 8. The maximum width of the front tires, measured from outside tread to outside tread, is 78". POWER TRAIN 1. Can use any American made engine with steel heads and block. a. Rear of engine (bell housing flange) must be mounted at least 72" forward of the centerline of the rear axle. Engine offset must be within 2" of the centerline of the front frame cross member. The minimum engine height is 11" from the ground to the front center of the crankshaft. b. Cooling systems can be modified as long as radiator and/or coolers do not extend above the interior. Over flow tube(s) must be directed toward the ground inside the frame rails. c.No total dry sump oiling systems allowed. The wet systems must be operable and, if claimed, will go with the engine. d.Fuel can be gasoline or alcohol. No performance fuel additives of any kind. Use of any such additive will subject the driver to a $1500 fine, four weeks suspension from OKLAHOMA SPORTS PARK RACES for the driver/car and loss of all points for the year. e.A single two-barrel or four-barrel naturally-aspirated carburetor is allowed. Fuel injection, electrical fuel pumps and/or magnetos are not allowed. f. Engines used in competition must be capable of use in a
conventional passenger car without g. Electronic monitoring or data storage devices (except tachometer)
are not allowed. No radio h. Mufflers are required. 2.Transmissions: a. Must have forward, neutral and reverse. With the engine running and the car stopped, the driver must be able to engage the transmission and move forward the stop, go to neutral, engage the transmission and move backward. The engine must continue to run during these maneuvers. b. Direct-drive, in/out boxes, and/or quick change transmissions are not allowed. 3. The drive shaft/rear end must be all steel except for lowering blocks, axle cap and drive plate. a. Any passenger car or truck type rear end with a one piece drive flange can be used. b. Cambered rear ends not allowed. Steel tube quick change rearends ok. No traction control. c. Width of rear tires must not exceed 78", measured outside tread to outside tread. Wheel base, from center of rear axle to center of front spindle must be no less than 108" on both sides. TIRES/WHEELS All modifieds can run American Racer till July 15, 2006 then all modifieds have to run Hoosier. 1. Tires McCreary G60-15 (KK-704). 2. Conventional one-piece steel wheels with a maximum width of 8". Foam or plastic mud plug and a metal bead lock can be used on the right rear only. Bead lock wheel width must be 8.00 to 8.75 inches. Maximum ½" spacer between hub and wheel. Bleeder valves are allowed on any wheel. No grooving of tires. WEIGHT LIMITATION 1.All qualifiers and the first six Feature finishers will be weighted. Each car, with driver and helmet, must have a minimum weight of 2400 pounds. 2. Failure to proceed directly from the track to the scales will result in the car being placed in the last position of the lead lap of the completed race (heat, B-Main, or Feature). NO EXCEPTIONS 3. Failure to meet minimum weight requirements after any race will result in the car being placed in the last position of the lead lap of the race just completed. Minimum weight with driver is 2400 pounds. LIMITED MODIFIED RULES IMCA MODIFIED RULES APPLY WITH THESE EXCEPTIONS: 1. Chevy Engines: 365 MAX cubic inch with GM 350 block &
stock stroke 3.48 crank. 2. Camshaft Rules: .480" @ valve with .030" lash. Roller rockers allowed. No roller camshafts or roller lifters. No bleed down type lifters. 3. Alcohol or racing fuel OK. NO additives 4. OEM cast iron heads such as: 461, 462, 492, 487 or any of
the following aftermarket heads: All other after market heads are illegal including Bow Tie
heads. 5. No mismatching of engine parts GM to GM, Ford to Ford, Mopar to Mopar 6. No Aluminum parts except for intake manifold, pulleys, valve covers, radiators, & water pumps. 7. Engine compartment may be boxed in. 8. No belt drive fuel pumps. 9. Rear fuel cell panel optional 10. 8" spoiler optional. NO OTHER WIND DEFLECTING DEVICES ANYWHERE ON CAR! 11. Stock distributor, No MSD or after market ignition boxes of any kind outside of the distributor. As of 2008: Drivers floor must be made of 16-gauge steel, no aluminum in
the floors allowed. DEMOLITION DERBY RULES 1. All drivers must know and obey these rules for safety or they will be disqualified. 2. Drivers must be 18 years old or older and have a valid drivers license. 3. Drivers must fill out and sign track release form to participate. 4. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Seat belts and shoulder harnesses are
required, will be tested, and 5. 1 rearend may be welded. 6. American passenger cars and standard station wagons only (Non commercial, American). No jeeps, pickups, or ambulances. No cutting of any body parts, however if car has prior damage, necessary cutting will be allowed. No reinforcing of frame or body parts, except for the drivers door. Radiator must remain in original position. All Equipment must be standard. No studded snow tires. No body alteration, unless to trim for tire clearance. No mud tires, No water in tires. Air only 7. IMPORTANT: glass and mirrors inside or out, must be removed,
(glass not allowed in door 8. The drivers door must be reinforced. Reinforcement material
cannot extend more than 2 9. Car must have a number on BOTH FRONT DOORS and be at least twelve inches in height. 10. Original gas tanks MUST BE REMOVED; A SUPPLEMENTAL TANK
(maximum 6 gallon 11. No reserve water tanks. 12. Battery MUST be removed and be secured inside of the car
